Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana memiliki slogan Indonesia Mini karena mahasiswanya berasal dari sabang sampai merauke, sehingga tidak heran jika keberagaman tersebut mempengaruhi kehidupan sosial di lingkungan mahasiswa yang menetap di Asrama UKSW. Kehidupan sosial sendiri dapat terjadi jika ada interaksi sosial didalamnya, namun merujuk pada keberagaman yang ada maka proses ini bukan hal mudah yang dapat dihadapi. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses interaksi sosial yang terjadi di dalam lingkungan asrama UKSW serta strategi apa yang diterapkan oleh pengelola asrama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain fenomenologi. Informan dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 3 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya shock culture yang dialami oleh para penghuni asrama khususnya unit pria, namun tidak berlangsung lama karena adanya strategi yang tepat dari pihak pengelola asrama. Strategi tersebut diterapkan dengan menggunakan nilai-nilai UKSW sebagai landasan penerapannya.

Satya Wacana Christian University has the slogan Mini Indonesia because its students come from Sabang to Merauke, so it is not surprising that this diversity influences the social life of the students living in the UKSW Dormitory. Social life itself can occur if there is social interaction in it, but referring to the diversity that exists, this process is not an easy thing to deal with. For this reason, this research aims to analyse the social interaction processes that occur in the UKSW dormitory environment and what strategies are implemented by dormitory managers. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological design. There were 3 informants in this study. The research results showed that there was a culture shock experienced by the dormitory residents, especially the male unit, but it did not last long because of the right strategy from the dormitory management. This strategy is implemented using UKSW values as the basis for its implementation.
