Notas Sobre Os Fundamentos Do Behaviorismo

Abstract

RESUMO - As contribuições de diversos autores que, direta ou indiretamente, influenciaram a filosofia behaviorista, são aqui enfocadas- Nesse sentido, são destacados os trabalhos de Galileu (metodologia científica), Popper (método dedutivo, critério de demarcação), Carnap (linguagem fisicista) e Hume (noção de causa). Uma vez que a palavra behaviorismo encerra diversos significados, é apresentada uma diferenciação entre os behaviorismos metafísico, metodológico e analítico. Finalmente, a ênfase recai sobre a proposta filosófica de Skinner, denominada de behaviorismo radical.

The contributions of different authors that di rectly orindirectly influenced the behaviorist philosophy are being consideredhere. The work of Galileu (scientific methodology). Popper(dedutive method and demarcation criterion), Carnap (physicistlanguage) e Hume (notion of cause) are discussed. Since the wordbehaviorism carries various meanings, a differentiation betweenthe methaphysical, methodological and analytical behaviorism ispresented. Finally emphasis is given on Skinner's philosophicalproposal, radical behaviorism.
