Abstract

Una nueva generación de hardware y software emerge (dispositivos de realidad virtual y aumentada), ampliando nuestras capacidades perceptivas del espacio sensible. El calidoscopio cultural donde conviven: la innovación, el mercado y la experimentación, entre otros, enturbia las posibilidades de valorar en su justa medida estas nuevas interfaces, sus facultades y limitaciones. En la primera parte del texto se busca hacer pie en conceptos fundamentales (realidad: virtual, aumentada, mixta); términos mayormente bastardeados y vacíos de significado para poder abordar, luego, el panorama actual de las Ciberculturas entendidas como el conjunto de técnicas, de maneras de hacer, de maneras de ser, de valores, de representaciones que están relacionadas con la extensión del Ciberespacio y de sus entornos emergentes.
