Abstract

El control de los organismos de poder por parte de las élites en la época moderna fue uno de los determinantes para que la sociedad en su conjunto se conformara en gran medida a semejanza de ese grupo social. Son numerosos los trabajos que hacen referencia al fenómeno de las élites hispanoamericanas; en tal sentido se han expresado sociólogos, economistas, politólogos e historiadores. Su estudio constituye un punto clave en el conocimiento de las sociedades hispanoamericanas y de la forma en que se constituyeron, como así también la manera en que evolucionaron con características peculiares y otras semejantes que nos permiten hablar de un bloque cultural hispanoamericano.
