Abstract

Arquitetura de uma árvore é a expressão do equilíbrio entre os processos de crescimento endógeno e as forças externas exercidas pelo ambiente. Objetivou-se delimitar e caracterizar os estratos verticais, observando a regularidade da distribuição de abundância de espécies no gradiente hipsométrico de árvores, em uma comunidade arbórea na Floresta Estacional Subtropical. A amostragem foi realizada usando catorze parcelas (20 m x 100 m), distribuídas sistematicamente, registrando os táxons e a altura total das árvores com circunferência a altura do peito ≥ 30 cm. Os estratos verticais foram delimitados a partir da análise de agrupamento (Bray-Curtis; ligação completa). Foram analisados a abundância de espécies e os modelos arquitetônicos. Realizou-se uma análise de redundância (RDA), da distribuição de abundância das espécies com os modelos arquitetônicos, nos estratos verticais delimitados. Para avaliar a distribuição de abundância nas classes de altura usou-se a análise de correspondência destendenciada (DCA). Constatou-se que a comunidade arbórea está formada por quatro estratos verticais. Ocorreu uma relação entre as espécies dos modelos arquitetônicos com a estrutura vertical da comunidade arbórea, observando, assim, a existência de estratégias de ocupação do dossel entre as espécies de acordo com o modelo arquitetural analisado. Os modelos arquitetônicos com ocupação preferencial por determinados estratos foram os de Aubréville para o sub-bosque e o de Prevost para os estratos emergentes. Outras espécies apresentaram ampla distribuição nos estratos verticais na comunidade arbórea, não possuindo distribuição preferencial na estrutura vertical. Sendo os modelos de arquitetura - Massart, Rauh, Roux, Champagnat e Troll, primordiais para a conformação arquitetural da comunidade arbórea local situada na floresta subtropical.

This study proposed stipulate the limits and characterize the vertical strata, observing the regularity of the distribution of species abundance, on height gradient of the trees in forest. Data were obtained from fourteen plots (20m x 100m) distributed systematically, registering the species and the total height of the trees with circuference at breast height (CBH) ≥30 cm. The strata were defined from the cluster analysis. We conducted a redundancy analysis (RDA) between species abundance and architectural models, in the vertical strata. For the species distribution in vertical strata was used canonical correspondence analysis (DCA). The community is comprised of four vertical strata. According to the study there was a relationship between the species of the architectural models with the vertical structure of the forest, thus observing that there are strategies of canopy occupation among species according to the architectural model studied. The architectural models with preferential occupancy by certain strata were those of Aubréville for the understorey and the one of Prévost for the emergent strata. Other species presented a wide distribution in the vertical strata of the forest, having no preferential distribution in the vertical structure. Being the models of Massart, Rauh, Roux, Champagnat and Troll, essentials for conformation of the forest arquitecture.
