Исследование посвящено изучению современных топонимов города Серпухова, представляющих собой неофициальную географию города. Каждый народный топоним несет в себе информацию об исторических событиях города в разные эпохи и об отношении серпуховичей к тому или иному событию. В работе поднимаются важные проблемы топонимики, а именно фиксация и сохранение исторически важных названий, содержащих какое-либо сведение из жизни многих поколений жителей города Серпухова. Результатом работы является обобщение, систематизация и анализ знаний о современных топонимах Серпухова. = This paper studies contemporary toponyms of the city of Serpukhov which represent the city's unofficial geography. Each folk toponym carries information about the city's historic events in different eras and about the attitude of Serpukhov residents towards a particular event. This work raises important problems in toponymy, namely the recording and preservation of historically significant names containing information about the life of many generations of residents of the city of Serpukhov. The result of the work is the generalization, systematization, and analysis of information about contemporary toponyms of Serpukhov.
