В статье описывается влияние французского языка на английский словарный состав. Рассматриваются различные сферы деятельности, в которые проникли и прочно укоренились французские заимствования. Приводятся примеры заимствованных лексических единиц в различных областях. = The article describes the influence of the French language on the English vocabulary. Various spheres of activity where French borrowings penetrated and deeply rooted are considered. The examples of borrowed lexical units in different fields are given.
