Abstract

= After the end of the Cold War Washington had to develop a foreign policy strategy that meets the new realities, determine the position regaring integration processes in the post-Soviet space. The changing domestic and foreign political situation forced each new administration to adjust the goals and objectives of US foreign policy. The article considers how the political situation in the world influenced the US policy towards post-Soviet integration in 1991–2021, identifies constant and variable external threats, the fight against which met «vital goals» and directly or indirectly influenced the processes post-Soviet integration.
