Abstract

Two approaches to determining the volume of production of an enterprise under conditions of changing demand are considered. The first of them involves forecasting the volume of orders, which helps to reduce the time of their fulfillment, but leads to risks of unproductive costs or lost profit. The second approach is based on the execution of only existing orders, causes either excess production load or downtime and requires an economically justified choice of the duration of the collection of orders.
