Abstract

The author analyzes the process of formation of professional culture of the teacher in Kharkiv Technological Institute on the basis of historical sources. The study reveals main features of the office etiquette in the late XIX – early XX century, the activities of the institute director, professors of the disciplinary court. The author pays particular attention to the system of scientific and pedagogical certification and pedagogical innovations in KhTI. The paper shows that the professional teacher culture was determined by the rules of social etiquette, as well as the emerging engineering ethics.
