Abstract

The study of the economic effect of the introduction of a frequency-electric drive on centrifugal pumps is based on the classical similarity formulas, according to which the power to a cubic degree depends on the change in the speed of rotation of the rotor of the pumping unit. The authors of the work show that the known dependencies are a special case in which the geometric level of the water supply network is not taken into account. The article provides an assessment of the influence of the static head of the network on the change in the power consumption of the pump during frequency regulation.
