Abstract

The article presents the results the calculations for carrying out design work provided for by the State Program approved by the distinguished President of Turkmenistan. The numerical data and measurements used in the calculations were obtained at the “Davis Vantago Pro 2 Plus” weather station, installed in the independent power supply laboratory of the State Power Institute of Turkmenistan. The data obtained were used to determine the productivity of a 2 kW wind farm located at the State Power Institute of Turkmenistan. Based on the relevant calculations, the average annual capacity of the wind farm was determined. The obtained data can be used both to assess the potential of wind energy in the region and to determine the location of wind power plants.
