Abstract

A computer model of a body of the tank car is developed for an estimation of strength of its elements taking into account defects of a boiler’s mounting to the frame. Calculations of the stress-strain condition are conducted, as a result, the influence degree of loosening of the yokes on the strength of boiler’s mounting to the frame is established. Designs are developed, and recommendations on increasing the reliability of the considered node are made.
