The article describes the study of the concept «laboratory» using lexical association. The results of comparing the aggregate associative field obtained by processing data of the free associative experiment with the semantic field realized at the text level are presented. The correlation of the text model language units and the psycholinguistic model units is established. A set of integral and differential semantic components of the concept under study has been identified.
