The author describes the methodological aspects of the establishment of a socio-economic model for the development of forestry in a radionuclide contaminated territory – a model of sustainable development. The article presents the goal of forming the model, ten principles on which it is based, its structure in the block form and their content. To control sustainable development, the model provides indicators of environmental, economic and social security, which allow you to track the actual values of indicators of forestry enterprises with their threshold (normative) values.
