
У статті розглянуто специфіку антропонімії роману В. Лиса «Століття Якова». Проаналізовано її функціональне навантаження, особливості вживання, варіативність, частотність антропонімів, вирізнено типове та індивідуально-авторське в ономастиконі художнього тексту. З’ясовано, що антропонімія роману представлена двома групами онімів: іменами реальних та іменами вигаданих (чи гіпотетичних) носіїв. This article deals with the peculiarities of the proper names in the novel «Jacob’s Century» by Volodymyr Lys. The functions of proper names have been identified, peculiarities of their usage, their frequency, have been analyzed. The typical features and the features of the individual author’s styles in the onomastics of the work of art have been cleared up. It has also been identified that the proper names in the novel «Jacob’s Century» have got psychological and content peculiarities which they help to realize author’s intentions. The active usage of proper names in the novel is explained by its topic and the plot. The most vivid peculiarities of the onomastic space of the novel is realized on the level of proper names because the proper names in V. Lys’s novel form the biggest part of the whole onomastic space. It has also been identified that the anthropology of this novel is represented by two groups of proper names: real names and assumed names.
