У статті досліджується клас превентивних мовленнєвих актів, а також фактори, які спричиняють їх появу. Доводиться, що семантичною основою превентивів є категорія заперечення. Будучи одиницею діалогової взаємодії, превентиви базуються на опозитивних відношеннях. The article studies preventive speech acts as well as the factors which cause their appearing. The category of negation serves their semantic basis. Being a unit of the dialogue interaction preventives are based on the relations of opposition.
