Abstract

The article describes the original classification of communicative strategies that are used by authors of popular science texts to ensure the reader's comprehension. The article gives a brief outline of the three communicative strategies and the procedures that constitute them, which are seen as the elements of the global strategic unit «popularization». The ideas which are put forward in the article are supported with examples from British and American contemporary popular science books.
