Abstract

The authors studied the effectiveness of new methods of hepato correction at non-communicable diseases. Studies were conducted on 6 outbred cats aged from 2 to 5 years, 3 of them are males and 3 are females. Experimental studies were carried out in conditions of the canine centre “Tair”, Zlatoust. Two percent solution “Verografin” (made in Hungary) at a dose of 0.5 ml/kg was used as a contrast substance. A result of research anatomic and topographic features of the round ligament of the liver in cats from the umbilical ring to the gate of the liver were established, data of morphometry of ligaments in both classes of animals were presented. Also it was histologically found that in the dorsal part the round ligament of the liver is presented as areolar tissue, which has cellular texture that ensures driving dynamics of contrast substance on it. The article describes the method of introduction of contrast substance as an analogue of drugs in the area of round ligament of the liver in cats. Feature of this method was the local effect of the drug on the liver in a short period of time. Also in the course of the study, it was found that the dynamics of the movement of substances on the round ligament is not the same in males and females of different classes of animals; it ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Compared with the traditional intravenous administration of medicinal substances, developed method provides transport of medicinal substances to the liver without additional absorption of organs and systems of the body that is the most important in liver disease. Also an advantage of this method is its prolonged use. This method is readily available, cost-effective and is safe; it can be successfully used in veterinary clinics in liver pathologies in small domestic animals, including not only vascular disorders (shunts, ascites), but also functional disorders (hepatitis and hepatosis), which is especially important in the therapy small domestic animals
