Abstract

The results of epidemiological research on prevalence of arterial hypertension within the population of Karaganda city coal-field miners are presented in this article. High prevalence of the disease is detected within the population of underground working miners in comparison with those working on the surface. The following features of arterial hypertension prevalence are detected among the miners: development in young age with little experience in underground work conditions, predominance of light and medium forms. By index of relative risk and etiological part of work-related factors the arterial hypertension is to be classified as medium degree work-related disease.
