Abstract

The article discusses the dependence of the athletic success of the elite Soviet and Russian female athletes on the genetic factors of inheritance (especially temperament) of the sports talent from two or one of the parents. In those cases, when their parents did not do sports, the athletes inherit the characteristics of the particular type of the temperament, contributed to the outstanding motor abilities.
