Abstract

The author of the article offers a detailed analysis of the principal stages concerned with the translations of the Tajik poet Mirzo Tursun-zade into the Kyrgyz language, she dwells on the issues related to adequacy of translations carried out in the second half of the XX-th century by different poets. This list includes the names of such representatives of the Kyrgyz literature as T. Umetaliyev, K. Akayev, S. Yeghinaliyev, K. Malikov, Zh. Abdykalykov, S. Eraliyev, D. Kenen-bayev and some others. It is marked that in spite of cultural ties between CIS counties being slackened in the post-Soviet period the interest in Mirzo Tursun-zade 's poetical legacy has been preserved in the milieu of Kyrgyz men-of-letters at the present time. The conclusion is made that in the epoch of global changes the important role of belles-lettres translation remains unshakenable, as it promotes an enrichment of one nation with artistic values of another nation just as before.
