
Центральной идеей творчества русского социального философа и правоведа Павла Ивановича Новгородцева стала идея возрождения естественного права. Определяя задачу философского исследования права и нравственности в рамках теории естественного права, мыслитель разрабатывает понятие «общественный идеал». В его концепции общественный идеал выступает синтезом индивидуальных и социальных интересов в практике общежития. В работах Новгородцева содержатся философскополитические и правовые основы теории справедливости, а также правомерности и гуманности. В целом идея справедливости стала смысловым стержнем его естественно-правовой теории.
The central idea of the theoretical heritage of Russian social philosopher and lawyer Pavel Novgorodtsev was the idea of the revival of natural law. Defining the task of philosophical investigation of law and morality in the context of the natural law theory, thinker elaborates the concept of a social ideal. In his theory this ideal appears as a synthesis of individual and social interests in community life. Novgorodtsev's works contain philosophical, political and legal sources for a theory of justice, as well as the legality and humanity. In general terms the idea of justice was the semantic core of his natural law theory.
