Архетипические оппозиции как номинативные основания обозначений времени в английском языке

Abstract

В статье рассматриваются архетипические оппозиции, лежащие в основе концептуализации времени. Представлена попытка выявить ключевые категории, лежащие в основе концептуализации времени в англоязычной картине мира. Показано, что у метафорических и неметафорических обозначений времени может существовать общая концептуальная основа, для выявления которой следует обратиться к анализу этимологии лексических единиц со значением времени.

The article examines the key categories underlying time conceptualization in the English language world view. It suggests that metaphorical and non-metaphorical nominations of time in English have a common conceptual basis; an attempt is made to reveal this basis using etymological analysis of general lexical items denoting time.
