Abstract

The methods of limiting wetting angle and surface energy have been employed to detect the hydrolytic resistance in ceramic restoration systems silicate feldspar baked ceramics; silicate glass-ceramics; oxide ceramics infiltrated with lanthanum aluminosilicate glass; polycrystalline oxide structural ceramics, and natural teeth. It has been shown that the synthesized polycrystalline oxide structural ceramics has prominent hydrolytic resistance, which provides it with adhesion resistance against the microbial deposits from the oral liquid. Reduced bacterial contamination at the prosthetic bed tissues helps improve the general hygiene in the oral cavity also adding stability to remote clinical outcomes thus working a positive effect on the efficiency of the restoration treatments.
