Abstract

The authors propose, model and implement in practice an innovation method of visual searching for victims in debris, which is based on the combined use of television and thermal imagery cameras for the construction of a single image. The method is based on hardware selection of infrared image segments with the given thermal contrast relative to the thermal background, which may indicate the presence of a victim, and the superimposing of the selected segments on the TV picture in the form of pulsating bright spots on the corresponding fragments.
