Abstract

This paper describes a design of a new instrument based on a freezing point depression osmometer, which is capable of supporting dynamic monitoring and automatic recording of physico-chemical dynamics / kinetics in freezing point depression osmometry of milk & milk-like products. The implementation of this upgrade is available for dairy farm & milk industry laboratories with regular engineering staff. The configuration and cost of the instrument are flexible and depend on the customer’s objectives and the aims of the food research. The proposed instrument is an alternative to costly foreign osmometers (nanoliter osmometers), described in the introduction.
