Abstract

The calculation analysis of ship, crane and other engineering structures consisting of thin-walled bars of closed profile, based on the theory of thin-walled welded and hot rolled bars, still remains the subject of the research. The theoretical bases for building a mathematical model of thin-walled bar of closed profile in the local coordinate system at the spatial deformation taking into account the shift of the middle surface are given. The mathematical correlations for constructing the stiffness matrix of thin-walled spatial bar of closed profile, which can be used for static and dynamic analysis of ship structures calculated by finite element method, are obtained.
