Abstract

The study investigates the long-term preparation system of the athletes in the all-around ski, including: purpose, steps; selection; implementation of the training programs; complex control of the state dynamics of the athlete’s results in the competitive practices; correction of the preparation process. Management of the multi-year athletes training system is performed on the target, substantive, procedural components in compliance with the principle of unity and interconnection of the competitive activity structure and the special training structure. At the same time, the results of research and practice experience in the athletes training issue in the all-around ski (biathlon, Nordic combined, winter polyathlon and others) show that features of the stages succession in the athletic training, growth factors, athletic performance, management model for the long-term training have not been disclosed in the presented works. Objectives and content of the athletic training at each stage is a base for the subsequent stages, thereby providing continuity of the training from the stage to stage. Each stage is framed by time, by the requirements of athletic training, due to the growth of sportsmanship. Thus, for the targeted system-management of the long-term training of the athletes in the all-around ski the following can be allocated as key interrelated element of the procedural management structure: purposes; information about the system control object; organization of management; management process; result in attainment of the goals; correction management system. This allows assessing objectively the state of the athletes training system and making the productive decisions to improve the efficiency of its functioning.
