Abstract

It is for the first time that the dependencies of photosynthetic indices of spring durum wheat, grown on fallow land fertilized with phosphoric fertilizers in the dose of 40 kg/ha, on the photosynthetic indices of wheat grown on unfertilized southern chernozem fallows of the experimental station of the Orenburg Research Institute of Agriculture, has been shown. It is found that the photosynthetic leaf surfaces as well as those of stems, ears and the plants' total photosynthetic surface area and its potential, which depend on the impact of phosphoric fertilizers, are higher than of wheat grown on unfertilized fallows. This explains the increase of yields of spring durum wheat grown on fallows fertilized with phosphorus fertilizers.
