Abstract

The article introduces the results of the experimental research of the interaction between vehicle elastic tires and two support rollers of a test bench. It is found that the value of normal and longitudinal tangential reactions depends on the position of the wheel relative to the test bench support rollers. The offset of the wheel increases the normal and longitudinal tangential reactions of supports distributed by the length of the contact patch on the roller towards which a tested wheel is offsetted. Besides, braking of the wheel that is rigidly fixed on two support rollers causes some kinematic disparity that results in the fluctuations of the values of the normal and longitudinal tangential reactions.
