Abstract

This article analyzes the activity of the exhibition movement in the late XIX early XX century on the territory of Western Siberia. The questions of the organization and conduct of the Kurgan Agricultural Exhibition in 1895. The participation of the population in the region of the first exhibition in the West Siberian city of Omsk Agricultural Exhibition in 1911 were of great importance. In addition to education, they promoted the improvement of the agricultural sector. However, they did not reflect fully the state of agriculture. Holding of exhibitions was kind of summing up the scientific study of nature and the people of Western Siberia. Positively affected the value of exhibitions in the fact that in the course of preparation for it has several serious studies covering various aspects of agriculture, the economy and social life of the region. Exhibition movement intensified revival of agro-industrial life of the region, stimulate civic opinion, activate the work of scientific and other relevant local organizations

Статья посвящена анализу деятельности выставочного движения в конце XIX – начале XX века на территории Западной Сибири. Рассмотрены вопросы организации и проведения Курганской сельскохозяйственной выставки в 1895 году. Показано участие населения края в работе первой Западно-Сибирской выставки в г. Омске 1911 г. Сельскохозяйственные выставки имели большое значение. Помимо просветительской работы, они пропагандировали улучшение аграрного сектора. Однако они не отражали в полной мере состояния сельского хозяйства. Проведение выставок было своеобразным подведением итогов научного изучения природы и населения Западной Сибири. Положительно значение выставок сказалось в том, что в ходе подготовки к ним появилось несколько серьёзных исследований, освещающих различные стороны сельского хозяйства, экономики и общественной жизни края. Выставочное движение активизировало пробуждение аграрно-промышленной жизни региона, стимулировало гражданское мнение, активировало работу научных и других местных значимых организаций.
