Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of historical and medico-social aids to elderly people in the retirement houses, on which basis the history of foundation and development of retirement houses as a form of medico-social aids organization is analyzed and adaptation facilities for elderly people in retirement houses are researched. At present time the modern society requirement for special establishments for elderly and senile aged people have increased rapidly, and the problem of their adaptation to the facilities of new living conditions appears specifically. That’s why the above mentioned problem leads us to the necessity to study how to make the adaptation easier for elderly people in retirement houses. It is revealed, that one of the ways to improve the adaptation in retirement houses can be the rehabilitation with the help of a complex of the available kinezotherapeutic, physiotherapeutic and medicamental actions.
