Abstract

The article deals with a detailed description of pathological-anatomic changes in the organs of pigeons, Romanian pheasants and chickens diseased with the Newcastle infection. The study was conducted on the poultry yard, belonging to a private farm owner in the town of Uralsk. In the autumn period there were registered extensive poultry epizootic deaths. On the basis of the postmortem examination, clinical signs and laboratory studies the Newcastle disease has been diagnosed. All the necessary measures to eliminate the disease agent’s spreading beyond the bounds of the epizootic focus, taking into consideration the blunders made by the farmer in the process of poultry rearing, have been undertaken.
