Abstract

We revealed the direct relation of prevalence of teeth and jaw abnormalities and deformations (TJAD) with the severity of spine pathology in children with different conditions of locomotors system. The minimal prevalence was in healthy children, while the maximal was in children with III-IV stage of scoliosis. During the periods of early, late dynamic occlusion and in the period of early static occlusion prevalence of TJAD in children with locomotors pathology did not change significantly. Prevalence is lower in the period of temporary occlusion 6-8% in comparison with the older age groups. In healthy children maximal prevalence of TJAD in the period of dynamic occlusion are significantly lower than in the period of temporary occlusion (to 9-10%) and a little lower in the period of static occlusion to 4-5%.
