Abstract

This article studies dynamics of fluctuation in agricultural population size in republics and oblasts of the Ural region during the 19401950s. It studies such reasons of changes in agricultural workers population size as partial liquidation of sovkhozes in the beginning of the Great Patriotic war, mass creation of supplementary agricultural enterprises, transition of kolkhozes to sovkhozes, establishment of the virgin land’s sovkhozes, etc. The author pays considerable attention to the analysis of changes in the agricultural workers’ composition, and to the correlation of workers involved in the machinery-tractor stations, supplementary enterprises of industrial plants, different organizations and sovkhozes.
