Abstract

Reconstructive operations on artificial esophagus are makes 18-47% of all esophagoplasty cases. Between 1995 and 2009 a total of 26 patients with diseases of artificial esophagus were revealed. All patients underwent complex assessment before operation and at various terms after it. 28 different reconstructive operations on artificial esophagus were done. There were no deaths. Determined frequency of occurrence of pathology of the artificial esophagus isn't beyond the ranges, presented in the literature. There was no postoperative intrahospital lethality. Application of the introduced standards of surgical methods both at esophagoplasty stages, and at reconstruction of the artificial esophagus allows to minimize quantity of reoperations in patients with an esophageal pathology.
