Об этногенетической интерпретации генеалогической традиции

Abstract

The article presents an interpretation of the genealogical legend tradition in the North-Western Caucasus from the perspective of the ethnic history. The author studies some variants of the legends about the first ancestor of Adyge princes, Inal, and his posterity. The paper makes attempts to associate these legends with the early ethnic history of the region.

Статья представляет собой опыт интерпретации генеалогической легендарной традиции Северо-Западного Кавказа с точки зрения этнической истории. Рассматриваются версии легенд о первопредке адыгских князей Инале и его потомстве, предпринимаются попытки ассоциировать данные легенд с событиями ранней этнической истории региона.
