Постоянные и варьирующие элементы в диалектах и говорах осетинского языка

Abstract

This article presents some results of dialects studies in the modern Ossetian language. The study examines interdialect respective phenomena, which are one of the main categories of the description method of dialect systems as the variants of one system. The author attempts to apply this approach to the modern dialects and subdialects of the Ossetian language, as a result of which some varying dialect elements referred to different levels of the language – phonetic, lexical, grammatical, semantic – have been identified. This paper introduces the dialectal material in the scientific circulation collected by the author in the course of numerous expeditions, the main task of which was to collect language material on the subdialects of the Digorian version of the Ossetian language.
