Abstract

The problem has been set and solved on the automatic recognition of images from a large database on the basis of minimum-information-mismatch criterion. A directed search method using Kullback-Leibler information distance has been proposed as opposed to exhaustive search. The program and experimental results of the methods investigation have been presented. The proposed method has been shown to have extra accuracy and reliability in automatic image recognition.
