The methods of expression, predicate and subject meanings in the possessive model in elementary simple sentences of the Tuvinian language paper are considered in the article. The opinions of turkologists about the origin of the affix -nyy are considered. In Turkic languages, there is a special form of pronouns to express the possessive meaning of pronouns in other languages. This form is derived from personal genitive pronouns plus extra derivational affix -ky/-ki and normally is used to form derivative adjectives. This specific form of personal pronouns should be referred as the possessive form. This form of personal pronouns differs from the genitive of these pronouns not only in its morphological structure, but also in meaning and usage. It is independent in speech and replaces determinatum, whereas the genitive pronoun without -ky/ki affix is always used with its determinatum. When one should express the possessive meaning in the predicative instead of attributive form, this type of pronouns is usually used. Specifics of this model usage are shown. Semantic and paradigmatic variants of this model are analyzed. Finer formulations of this model are found: kin relations disposal, speaker disregard to the speech subject, sometimes the opponent “possession”. Common Turkic origin of the -nyy affix is demonstrated, as well as the similarity between Tuvinian and Khakas affixes. The peculiarities differing the model with the -nyy affix from the -nyn are shown.
