Abstract

In this article we speculate on the relevant issue of "the novel of consciousness" in the creative work of Andrey Bely. The main problem of our research is discovering the sources of this type of novel in early works by Andrey Bely, in particular in The Return. We are drawing the following conclusion: while con-structing the conception of personality Andrey Bely accentuates the dynamics in the main character's emotional experience which is realized in a chronotopic code.
