Abstract

The proposed paper deals with constructive features of the burial structures made of wood and birch bark in the graves with a horse of the medieval population of Kuznetsk Hollow based on materials of the Konevo burial mound, dated by the beginning of the 2nd millennium AD. Basing on the analysis of technological methods in processing fragments of birch bark burial structures, the reconstruction of the general features of bark workmanship and technology of bark collection and processing on the territory of Kuznetsk Basin in the beginning of the2nd millennium AD was made.
