Abstract

The results of calculations of the heeling moment coefficient at supersonic and hypersonic flow-past with small angles of attack of the blunted cone with the elliptical cross-section of the stern were presented. Changing direction of the heeling moment of sloping air-cooling during transition from the supersonic flow-past to the hypersonic one was shown. The analysis of mechanism and evaluation of the existence region for the effect was carried out. Peculiarities of the heeling moment behavior related to this effect were considered. The criterion which characterizes the direction of the heeling moment locally was described.
