Локальный коэффициент специализации: преимущества, недостатки и совершенствование аналитического инструмента

Abstract

В основе статьи лежит рассмотрение показателя локального коэффициента специализации, его ключевые преимущества и недостатки. При отсутствии большого числа данных, касающихся экономики отдельных регионов, городских агломераций, городов, расчет данного коэффициента может помочь получить более конкретные сведения о специализации региона. Главной целью этой статьи является выявление ключевых особенностей показателя, а также анализ его недостатков и описание модификаций, направленных на устранение этих недостатков и лучшую интерпретацию ситуации в регионе.

This article contains the review of the location quotient value, its key advantages and drawbacks. Due to the lack of much data on economies of regions, urban agglomerations and cities, the computation of this coefficient can help in getting more specific information concerning the region’s specialization. The main purpose of this article is to define key traits of the indicator and to analyze its drawbacks to describe some modifications aimed at elimination of defects and better interpretation of the situation in a region.
