Abstract

The author offers a critical analysis of the major theoretical approaches to understanding such structural formations as individual responsibility and locus of control. These concepts are not considered in the article as similar in presentation, but they are comparable to the continuum of “externality internality” largely determining human behavior, as well as features of the reactivity of the emotional sphere. Special attention should be consideration of these phenomena as the internal mechanisms of self-regulation. The subjective aspect of responsibility and its expression in the consciousness of an individual, namely, the causal attribution is studied.
