Abstract

The article presents the results of long-term research of the main, according to the author, need of a man as a social individual, the need for social and personal importance. It is claimed that this need arises as a result of both socialization of the individual and biologically caused need for emotional contact. It defines, depending on subjective and objective factors, all pursuits, desires, intentions of the person arising in a certain social environment. The mechanism of implementation of this need through the so-called additional values is considered, and also the law of social and axiological compliance existing in paradigms of the power, wealth and glory is formulated. The lapidary description of two philosophical types of people actualists and eternists is given.
