Abstract

The article reveals a problem of psychological correction and development of higher mental functions of children with organic type of developmental disorders. The paper shows a high demand of the selected category of children in the targeted systematic correctional and development work. The research is aimed at the formation of the mental functions, which are lagging behind in the age development, and, on the other hand, the formation of emotional and volitional, as well as search for compensatory mechanisms to correct emotional disturbance. It also describes the effectiveness of neuro-psychological program, developed as an optimal mode of action to cognitive, emotional and volitional domain of this category of children. On the basis of the presented material, it can be concluded that this program follows the structure of violations of children with organic type disorders and their age specifics, the program is highly effective in comparison with other methods of psychological correction, which is confirmed by additional research.
