Abstract

The article deals with a part of the archival materials on the history of the origin of the village "Karmovo" and the origins of the scientific genealogy of the kin of Karmovs, as one of the areas of epistemology in modern human cognition. It deals with the problematic issues of sources studies in the North Caucasus as a region of the South Russia, periodization of the documentary heritage of the past history and chronology of the monuments. Based on the analysis of the documentary heritage of the past, we have considered the sources related to only a part of the history and genealogy of the clans of Kabarda for the period of 1801-1841. Interest to our own history is not only a desire to explore our own historical roots, expand the understanding of the traditions and customs, but also the desire to understand and comprehend the fate of the nation and to determine the possible ways of development in this century.
