Abstract

Content of methane in cola beds, clays and coal interlayer are insignificant and are equal to 0,012...0,020 m /t. Basic sources of methane emission into mining atmosphere are old gobs. Basic reason of methane appearance in mines of Moscow Coal Basin is biochemical activity of a methane-oxidyzing bacterium. It’s proved that for vital activity of the methaneoxidyzing bacterium conditions must be follow: oxygen concentration is 9.12 %; availability of organic matter; underground water acidity is 6...7; temperature is 7.20 оС.
